2020 Racing Academy is designed to introduce the highest standard of education to the new generation of MX, Dirt-Bike, ATV and Road-Bike Riders.

Welcome! 2020 Racing Academy teaches safe motorcycle riding skills to beginner and advanced riders on all types of bikes. We believe that the more knowledge you have, the better decisions you’ll make and the safer you’ll be. Our goal is to help you make quality decisions in all your racing endeavors. Regardless of whether you’ve never ridden before or you’re an experienced rider, 2020 Racing Academy is where you’ll improve your motorcycle skills. 2020 Racing Academy is led by instructor Ike De Jager, winner of three World Vet MX Championships, most recently in the 70+ class. Ike’s past students include Les Smith, Broc Tickle and PJ Larson.

IKE DE JAGER

Meet IKE DE JAGER – Principal trainer for the 2020 Racing Academy. Ike has been riding and racing motorcycles for over 35 years.

Today, I did a whole day of professional dirt bike training with Ike De Jager. I learned so many things, I'm not even sure where to start telling the story. Ike told me that I should not listen to advice from amateur riders because unlearning bad habits is way more difficult than learning good skills from day one. We did a bunch of riding in deep sand which is very difficult. We rode burms, ruts, hills up and down, came to stop locking the back wheel and turning the bike, rode single track and did tons of exercises that I will need to practice. This was an amazing training and now I shall take time to practice, practice, practice. I also met Michael, another instructor and Scott, a pilot and biker. I am pleased to be meeting new people who are friendly, open, encouraging, engaging, and awesome riders. Thank you for a fantastic day!

I just wanted to say thank you again for the class today. I learned a lot of valuable skills and it was an honor and a pleasure to learn from one of the best. I was able to accomplish a lot of things today that I thought were above my skill level, but Ike’s teaching style and persistence made all the difference in the world. I know Josh and Mason had a blast as well. I would have loved to have stayed later, but it was just too hot for me. I wasn’t sure I was going to make it past lunch, but I pulled through. Training with Ike de Jager was one of the best investments I made in preparation for Mongolia. Over 1200km riding through bogs and sand, over endless steppe and river crossings, the skills I learned under his expert instruction kept me safe and insured that I delivered the Yamaha AG200 to my Mongolian ranger. His instruction also meant that I had a damn good time on the journey as well.
